Grateful to the Innocence Project Byron Halsey was released from jail after serving 20 years as an inmate for a crime he didnt commit. Halsey an african-american (yeah it was important for me to say his entnicity) from Elizabeth New Jersey, was convicted of a rape and murder back in 88 (nesha, naj yall year). He was framed for the rape of a 9 yr old girl and muder of her 8 yr old brother. Both killed brutally the girl raped and strangled and the boy, nails beaten into his head with a brick (smh). Halsey was sentenced to two life terms and 20yrs. and prosecutors sought the DEATH penalty thank god that didnt go through because after advanced DNA test he was INNOCENT!! But just think 20yrs. of your life down the drain wasted; Being looked at like a rapist and killer by family and neighbors and whoever was following up with the case. Tell me your thoughts on this because I was disturbed

Damn that's trash 20 years of your life gone Its gotta be hard serving 20 years when you know you didn't do it it's cool that he's out and all that but there's nothing you can do to make up for that time lost, so sad..
wow thats crazy poor halsey i mean jail is no place for anyone and this dude did 20yrs he's a g. that goes to show how important our people are it took them that damn long to find out the truth so sad but he is a strong man to know he did anything and be happy to be free i wouldn't even care he was old when he got arrested so imagine how old dude is now he cant make that time back it a wrap
